Rupy has worked primarily as a pediatric speech therapist with children from birth to 18 years of age. She has treated children with a variety of disorders such as: autism spectrum disorder, articulation/phonological disorder, expressive/receptive language disorder, stuttering, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Over the past ten years Rupy has worked in a variety of settings, including: public schools, private practice, home-based, and daycares.

Helping children in the early intervention setting helped Rupy find her passion. Working one on one with a child meant she could tailor each individual session to meet the needs of each child. Evidence-based practice methods are used to target goals in therapy sessions. Providing parents/caregivers with strategies to facilitate carry over and generalization of skills at home is an essential part of her work. Rupy is also a trained provider of Hanen: More Than Words (designed specifically for parents of children with autism spectrum disorder) and the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).

Rupy feels fortunate to share her passion and commitment of helping children with speech and language disorders and their families. When she is not working, Rupy enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, and exploring the central coast.
